Shengana Maap is a robust local rice variety suited to Bhutan\'s mountain terraces. It cooks to a satisfying texture that pairs well with rich curries and fermented side dishes.
Rinse well. Use slightly more water (1:1.75 ratio) for softer texture. Simmer 18–20 minutes. Excellent with shakam, dried fish, and dollay pastes.
Store dry and sealed. Inspect periodically in monsoon season.
