Zoedoe fermented cheese powder — tangy, probiotic-rich seasoning for ema datshi and traditional dishes.
The full story
Zoedoe is aged, fermented Bhutanese cheese dried and milled to powder — tangier and more complex than fresh cheese powder, with natural probiotics from the fermentation process.
Dissolve 2 tbsp in warm water, add to chili and onion for instant ema datshi, sprinkle over roasted rice, or stir into gundruk soup. The tanginess replaces need for lemon or vinegar.
Sealed in cool, dry place. Refrigerate after opening in humid climates.
