From Othbar Mountain Horticulture Promotion Project
Sun-dried slippery gourd (jhinga) slices — a mountain vegetable restored to life in curries, soups, and stir-fries.
The full story
Slippery gourd is harvested at peak freshness from Othbar\'s organic plots, sliced thin, and sun-dried to lock in nutrients and extend the seasonal harvest year-round.
Soak slices in warm water for 20–30 minutes until softened, then cook in curries with ema datshi, stir-fry with garlic and timur, or add to clear broth soups.
Keep in a dry, dark cupboard in the original pack or a glass jar.
