These specially selected tea leaves are processed for the robust, earthy character needed in traditional suja — Bhutan\'s beloved butter and salt tea drunk throughout the day in highland homes.
Boil leaves with water for 5–10 minutes until dark and strong. Strain into a churn or blender, add yak or cow butter and salt, then churn until frothy. Adjust butter and salt to taste. Can also be brewed as plain tea without butter.
Keep in airtight container away from spices and moisture.
